Of all the players mentioned, I'd only have Moa, Briscoe and perhaps Paea back. That said, our pack is the best it has been in a VERY long time, and the front row trio of Bowden, Watts and Taylor are young, English and on fire. They could easily be the cornerstone of our pack for the next 5-10 years, which is an excellent state of affairs to be in.

We need to be tying down the majority of the squad, particularly the young guys, to ensure continuity over the next few years, and use our recruitment on one or two positions a year.

Hodgson has done very well since leaving, but as alluded to, he had a lot in his way at Hull, and Houghton plays better doing 80 minutes. We'd never have seen the Hodgson of now if he'd have stayed with us. The game time just wasn't there for him.
