Danny Houghton has certainly steoped up another gear this season and is by far the most consistantly excellent SL player. The only problem will be with regards to MoS is that we are still not considered to be a 'top' team. That is a big influencer IMHO, often objectivity is very much missing. The definition of the award describes DH in spades, he is an honest pro, he's not a dirty grub, he works his socks off for 80 minutes every single game (invariably 90% or more of all fixtures), his tackling technique is one of the best in the league, his attacking prowess from DH is epic. His passing has improved measureably and now he's getting onto the end of kicks for tries.
Right now it's between him and JH for the England jersey. Too bloody right he should be an early front runner for the award

Be interesting to see if he gets nominated if we're in the top 4 when selections are made?

Who is considering us not to be a top team? We are third now so that should count for something, his stats every year make him one of the best, please explain what you mean? When you say we are not considered a top team.
Oh please not more rubbish about the "top teams" being favoured.
For one thing the Steve Prescott Man of Steel Award is voted on by players rather than the RFL or journalists and furthermore winners in the last seven years have included players from Huddersfield (twice) and Castleford (twice).

He might have gone around with a petition, maybe how he gets his facts.
