I'm of a similar opinion to most on here. It's no real surprise that he's been given an extension as Pearson clearly believes in him. Like most I personally would have waited a little while longer to see how the season pans out and I would have been inclined to keep the extension to two rather than three years, but that is simply my own personal opinion.
The plus side of this announcement is that our plans are in place for (hopefully) moving forward over the course of the next couple of years with a stable set-up and structure. This should help in terms of recruitment, both on and off the field, an area in which we appear to be moving in the right direction once more after a number of underwhelming years.
I'm still not wholly converted to Lee as potentially the man to start fulfilling our long dormant potential, but I am encouraged with the progress that we clearly are making, both in terms of results and performance. That progress, incidentally, has essentially been happening since Easter last year. After the debacle of Good Friday 2015, I genuinely had fears about where we were heading, but since then there has been a steady improvement and the rate of that improvement appears, on the surface, to be steadily increasing as well.
After a shaky opening 14/15 months to his tenure, Radford appears to be steadily growing into the job (and that is without any real knowledge of changes he has instigated behind the scenes). He's done enough to deserve the chance to take the club further in my opinion. Even if Pearson had decided to make a change, who, realistically, could he bring in. Any change (merely for the sake of change) brings with it, it's own risk of disruption.
Either way, he's here, he's our head coach and he will be our head coach until at least 2018 in all probability, so we may as well get behind him and the team and let's hope the Fc rollercoaster has more ups than downs in the second half of this decade.
I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.

Committment and desire never been a problem with Lee. A few of us on here have actually got that and been unwavering in our support.
God knows why people are mentioning Gentle. Both he and McRae were the deadwood. Bad decisions with team selection and picking favourites - overpaying on contracts and creating a culture of blame.
Radford works his backside off, shoulders the blame and has got us to the best position in years. Motu takes a large part of the kudos, but getting them to play is the coach's job.
We've done the double over one of the major title favourites and people whine. Go to Headingley.
