One of the best bits of business our club has done in a long time in getting rid of him & Westy, whilst getting decent transfer fees in the process.

Good player, but still with a hell of a lot to learn both on and off the field.

Looks like the right call was made by Pearson, Motu & Radford as Noggers looks pretty impressive after a run on the wing and was a pity we had to move him to FB against Leeds.

Since Pears on and Motu arrived have we lost anyone we actually regret?

I'd have been happy to see Heremaia and Rankin still here, but fully understand why they're not.

Briscoe is the obvious ones, getting rid of Rankin and Heremia have really benefitted Shaul and Houghton.

I'd take Lineham back, but wouldn't pay for him and pay him huge amounts.

Briscoe is a bit different as his deal expired and he didn't want to stay (if memory serves me correctly)?

Crooks is the notable one, along with Heremia whom interchanging with Houghton or even on at the same time would have made a hell of a difference since he left.
realistically we still haven't replaced like for like quality wise for Crooks and is one of Radford's major feck ups (results being better with him in the team than not despite all the flak Crooks got!)

Also need to consider some of the tat we have signed...Sa was a massive waste of salary and was pants when he wasn't injured! Colborn was utter cack, resigning Carvell for a few games on top dollar and who was gash. Feka has been stealing a wage for two years and keeping others from progressing every time he plays, Tuson was a crock before he got here.
And the latest batch are still a bit 50/50, Carlos looked like he was going to be the business but has been a.let down overall, Manu and Fonua can both do really good stuff but just not as consistantly as i'd like. Frank has got better after going missing in a few games earlier and tbh given the very high salary he's on it's a fine line as to whether he's VFM.

It's not all a bed of roses but there have been some great signings like Minichello, Taylor and Naughton, Michaels has been a very good signing for not much and whilst no world beater is a very reliable performer. Sneyd is starting to find his feet after a very average first season and Pryce has been okay for the most part.

TBH it really is not a huge amount better than McRea given the extra money that Radford has been offorded.
