In Smith we trust, I think he should be dropped for a bit of attitude adjustment. He's a good finisher but with his attributes and how long he has been in the game he should be a better all round player. I have been convinced that smith will improve him as a player but that will only happen if Tom buys in to wanting to improve and takes it seriously. I have no problem with players going out drinking whether we win or lose , but the club will be setting protocols and they are set for a reason if they have been broken then there must be a punishment.
He'll get another chance and I hope this will kick start his career, I'm still backing him to come good and feel he will prove to be a good signing.

not at all, I haven't said that. I was just answering the question that asked if he has played at hooker for Warrington which he has, albeit in the Reserves.

Never understood this "It's OK for them to have a beer but..". attitude, no it isn't. They're professional athletes and they're body is the tool of their trade. You wouldn't find a courier taking his transit van rallying at weekends, or a carpenter leaving his tools out in the rain when he's not working.
They have what is many peoples dream job, and with that job comes an amount of sacrifices, of which drinking should be one. If they're lucky then they can have a good long career and still have 50 years plus to eat and drink what they like.

After a good hard win, they're told to go out and have a beer...set a single standard of either NEVER during the season or occasional, but don't change your mind each week.

I don't think going out on the lash until the sun comes up can be dismissed as 'going for a beer'. It's stupid and irresponsible. Frankly it doesn't surprise me at all, the lad's attitude has been awful since he joined and he needs to sort himself out before he ruins his career.

I didn't want to bring up the Locker Room Laughs videos, especially the Lineham & Bailey, editions as it probably comes across as whinging about the club just for the sake of it, but I will.
I appreciate it's an opportunity for us fans to see the other side of players, and generally works well, but I think that on that particular occasion their unprofessional attitudes, answers and body language make both players come across very badly. To be honest, I'm quite surprised that the club released the videos.

'How To Win Friends & Influence People' by Ryan Bailey. Considering we are two props down at the minute you would think he might be living as cleanly as possible in order to be fit for selection.
There is nothing I hate more than players wiping their feet on the club.
PS I said Lineham would never play for the reserves down to poor form as his contract is too much but seems he has proven me wrong by behaving unprofessionally off the pitch. Pleased to see Smith has no patience or tolerance for this situation.

I don't live in or around Warrington so other than these posts haven't heard anything. Presume Lineham and Bailey share a flat? If so didn't anyone foresee a potential problem? The "out drinking and therefore dropped" is that from a reliable source?
Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.
Well Bailey is on a 1 year contract with lots of conditions regarding what he does and doesn't do. It seems he's sailing close to the wind. (Allegedly)
Lineham - an utter tool. I would give my right arm (or something like that that wouldn't spoil my playing) to have played professional rugby for Warrington, but I wasn't anywhere near good enough, so now I support, travelling 100's of miles regularly up and down the motorway. I do it because I love rugby league and I love my team It makes me fume inside to see a talented player (allegedly) act like this. Immature. OK - he's 22, but needs to grow up fast.
In earlier decades you could get away with this. But this is the 21st century, not the 1980's.
Absolutely no problem with the guys having a drink or two (maybe in the minority) but there's a limit. And getting to bed in the early hours of the morning close to a game is not on. Do it after work on the equivalent of a Friday night.
Come on Tom. Sort yourself out.
Good on TS.
