I would say mulhern was good enough and will be a good player. I heard he moved due to frustration with little game time.

That's the danger of developing good young talent, then not selecting them in your 17 on a "regular" basis.

Can you imagine the frustration of attempting to keep your body and mind tuned as a Professional Sportsman, then not actually getting the opportunity to showcase yourself on the bigger stage? It would definitely drive me insane.

Jamie Peacock MBE wrote:'There's been a couple of times during my career when I've thought about moving elsewhere but, when I run out in front of 17,000, 18,000 people at Headingley, I've thought 'nah, this is the place for me'.

True it must be but that's the risk you take signing with a big club, you'll more than likely have a tougher route to the first team due to the quality ahead of you and more patience usually required.

I imagine Singleton could've made the same decision as Mulhern back in 2012/2013....but then he wouldn't have played nearly every game in a treble winning season, starting in a GF and scoring a try at Wembley.

True, players are all different. I can see us losing Baldwinson as well. Already left once he strikes me as someone who won't patiently wait in the wings. Think he will be a good player as well. Last year with peacock, Kyle on bench cuthberton and singleton you can see why they didn't get much time. This season two of those have gone. The ones that remain have been disappointing cuthbertson apart and Ben cross 2 has been dross I could understand a little frustration this season at lack of game time

Does anyone else think Baldwinson would be a good fit for the 13 role if we are going for an extra prop there? Seems plenty mobile and willing to work.

Yep I think he could play there.

Baldwinson could play that 13 role, but then realistically you could only select one of JJB or Delaney.

Neither are mobile enough to play in the wider channels as a second-rower is expected to do. Plus when Ward comes back I'd expect him to nail down that 13 role, playing in a similar way to O'Loughlin at Wigan.

Totally agree long term I was meaning more now or off bench can cover all pack positions really. When fully fit the back 3 pick themselves for me ablett, Ferres and ward jib on the bench

Depends who is in front of you, last year our pack was solid and you couldnt complain, but with how bad they are now some of the younger players must be questioning why they havnt been given a chance.

As Gary Schofield pointed out, if Baldwinson (or possibly Singleton) was playing like Galloway then there is no way he would have kept his place in the side.
