Was having a conversation, post game with my dad and a friend about our performance in the second half of the last 5 games. We have scored 68 points and conceeded just 20 in those 200 minutes of rugby, which is a pretty good record. Of course, this could be down to fatigue issues for the opposition, but Radford alluded to changing the game plan at half time to suit the way the game was being played. If that's the case, then credit where it is due, as I don't recall seeing Hull have such dominant second half performances as they have been. Long may it continue!

Was having a similar discussion with someone last night as we noticed how few tries we have conceded in the second half of recent games. Nearly kept Giants pointless in second 40 as we did to Saints.

Certainly is noticeable isn't it. Radford has to really know his plays to be able to put another plan together in such a short time based on how the game is progressing. These plays must be so ingrained into the players that Radford can simply say do this now to counter this and so forth. It shows real dedication from the coaching and playing staff.

Thought putting Bowden in last night as a third prop was a good move by Radders - leaving Thompson on the bench who came on later and was excellent I thought. Thought he took up the mantle of the second ball player better than Hadley, although Hadley played very well as an extra second row.

Bowden has progressed really well this season and as a prop is young enough to improve even more. Hopefully we will get him signed up on a long term contract.
