I think when Danny Wilson first came North from Cardiff he turned pro with Widnes before moving across to Swinton. He was certainly a gifted maverick who on the field deserved to be playing in front of bigger crowds than those frequenting Station Road as they bobbed up and down between the 1st and 2nd divisions.
