Performance of the season from the boys. Ellis was absolutely awesome last night, the man hit everything like a jackhammer. Finest 2nd rower in my time. Sneyd has come so far out of his shell he is a different player, appears the shackles have been released and he has been given free reign. Away following as always was fantastic and the noise generated by us put so much fear into the home team. For once the journey there and back was`nt bad at all for a friday. One hour twenty from Tadcaster both ways.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and proudly proclaiming `Wow, what a ride`
The stats for the game are interesting. Absolutely nothing between the teams for metres made (30 more from Saints) or carries (2 more from Saints). The penalty count was pretty close in the end too, they conceded 6 and we conceded 8. We also made one more error (4-5).
On everything else we bossed it. Offloads 3-12. Clean breaks 2-6. Tackle busts 19-30.
Houghton made 45 tackles without missing, Ellis 40 with one miss (machines the pair of them), Yeaman 123 metres from 19 carries, Shaul 172 metres from 17. The only forward to break the 100 metres barrier anyone? Yep you guessed it, Pritchard, 13 carries, 103 metres. The big lazy salary stealing b*****d.

Support was exceptional. One Saints fans saying the loudest away support seen at Langtree Park. Houghton did 45 tackles, on top of his 50 against Wire and 33 against Rovers. 128 tackles in 8 days. Absolute Trojan.

Was a great night, another great win. Some really good points made from Zucchini from the stats. Got to be careful re Hudds, the very type of game we would have lost last season. Cannot under estimate them and need to fire. Leeds away despite last night, will not be easy. But we can win both if we perform.

Such fine margins. For a change we've actually won the last 3 games with an aggregate score in our favour of just 5 points. So often in the last couple of seasons (and early this season) we have been on the wrong side of such slim margins and the doom has descended. Long may it continue - plenty to work on.

I don't think Mahe gets enough credit he was outstanding yet again against saints, he's the centre we've been waiting for. Great in defence, and great in attack. He was offloading all the time against saints and created lots of problems.

I too think Leeds will be tough. It's always been my favourite fixture and they often punish us. They always seem up for it when playing FC too but that is also down to sir kev masterclass. I'd like to see us give them a good bumming for old times sake
