The radio commentators were saying they thought one of Lineham's tries that was chalked off for a knock on he didn't touch the ball ?

Gidley is everything to this side at 6.... he marshalls the defence, he bring structure to the middle... he is usually one of the top tackler.

Ratchford is.. well... as much as a number 6 as chris bridge was.

I didn't attend the game, and only caught the very end of Matt and Gary's summing up, but the points that they made were;

A very porous right flank.
Lineham fluffing 2-3 scoring opportunities.
Two charge downs that came back to bite us.
Ratchford lacked any attacking threat.

Either way, Westerman sounds as though he is out of the Wigan game, but Gidley (dead leg) and Russell could be back. Surely TS will not ask the same squad to play a third match will he ?

Lineham scored 2 good tries but he bombed one by tried the 'pig dive' when he could have just used his 16-17 stone bulk to barge his way over.
Trying to catch the ball on an up and under on the last gave FC another 6 tackles. Not using his brain.
And in the first half his sheer laziness almost meant his opposite number chased down the ball and almost got to it having given Lineham at least 5 and possibly 10 yards.
My 80 year old mother could have run faster. Simply not good enough Tom. Simply not good enough.
You've come with a big price tag - I expect you to do better.

Johnson started very poorly and was at fault for the 1st try.

I though both Evans and Atkins played well and deserve a mention.
Cox, Hill and Sims played well too.
Sandow was sheer class in the first half but took a few wrong options in the 2nd half.

Charge downs on the last.......
Absolutely f£$%%^&** stupid.

Memo to Tony - tell the players NOT to attempt charge downs on the last tackle, or give me an explanation as to why one should be attempted.
Also tell the players not to give silly pens away on the last (Ratch?)

At half time I was quietly confident.
Unfortunately the team were perhaps over-confident and in the end got what they deserved.

I can only hope this serves as a reminder for the guys not to read or believe in all the hype that they may see on these forums.

That Lineham performance is typical of him all the time he was at Hull, great finisher, but is weak in defence and we targeted him and Evens.

He is a good winger, but hasn't the brains or pace to be a top winger.

Thought that Sandow song you did was good. Didn't hear it second half though.

Seriously - good following from your lot good effort.

I'll give you the one about Tom (kardashian) Lineham but we knew what we were getting when we paid the substantial fee for him

I agree with the charge downs also, success rate must be very low

Jack Johnson at fault for the first try will split opinion, looked like a decent chip and the bounce didn't go for him, either way he got on with it and had a solid game holding up players for certain tries and caught all the high bombs,he will continue to develop and learn his trade at this level

The one statement I definitely can't agree with is Evans had a decent game,he was woeful in defence

Do you honestly think the players read the £@/7 we put on here and it effects them either way, wake up pal

YES

because professional rugby players dont know how to use google and NEVER look on forums to see what people think of them.

that never happens.

I thought Evans made some pretty good reads in defence, teams will always get stretched though.

Young Johnson looked shy of confidence to me, not going to pan him put he was certainly one of the weaker performers for me.
Possibly to blame for the lack of defensive cohesion too, he didn't look to be doing to much talking...lad if you're in the first team it's because people think you're ready to be, believe in yourself.

Lineham...take the man with the ball, if he passes it out you are not at fault. That first try he stood off, and stood off waiting for the pass that never came and he stepped him inside. Not a hard thing to do as milk turns quicker than him, god he can be lazy at times too. I still think he's currently our weakest signing although you can't fault his finishing normally, he was a little off with that too.

Cox...really warmed to him, great effort today, no idea on his fitness/health levels but he needed more minutes today for me.

Sandow first half was again unplayable, went missing in the 2nd and his kicks just lacked a little at times (not all). But as we play each team they are all getting to know just how good he can be.

Ratchford is a one of two things, a centre or at another club. Nice chip in the 2nd but generally didn't bring anything to that position.

Patton should have been given the role for me, a true 6 not a utility 6.

Effort was generally there, looked jaded near the end and if a few goals had gone over could have won the game so not worried/angry/down, bring on the pies.

It's been fun.
