Available information? Dont you think watching the games backs my point up at all , as looked pretty obvious to me that weve gone with a saftey first approach the last few games

No. What happened today, IMO, is that with nothing to lose the players decided to give it a go when Radford PLEADED with them to do so. They were in a position where playing conservatively couldn't possibly get them anywhere.

And I'm not arguing that we haven't been playing safety first. I'm arguing that this was not an instruction from the coaching staff.

What Radford said was that he PLEADED with the players to be more Ad Hoc. That actually strengthens the argument that they haven't been following the game plan. Of course, the question then becomes why he couldn't get them to follow the plan in the first place...

I didn't hear the interview, no need to scream. So bonaire interpreted it wrong, then?

Your last sentence is pertinent. It was almost as if a switch was flicked this afternoon at the 60 minute mark. If Radford had pleaded with them to be expansive all match it would indicate the initiative to envoke the change came from the people on the pitch. Which is encouraging, but why not do it from minute one, as you say?

Many on here after the Widnes game said Radford never has a plan B today he did we won and gets no credit for it from some. Regardless how we won and whats gone on so far if we was given 4th at this stage before the season started we would have took it and be more than happy.Monday will be a different game and it would not surprise me if we won.See the very poor Wakey side took the Giants to bits not that poor then ... Giants Coach or players fault??

Good post, im happy to be 4th, obviously with the likes of leeds, hudds, saints, cats struggling the start of the season as helped, hopefulky still be in around the 4th spot come the split

Thats more tinhat then my version, how the hell does radford plead with them 20 mins into second half! The players must of misunderstood the coaches instructions then, because I cant believe the players would choose to play like the last few weeks. The body language of the players looked noticable better in them last 20 today, the players looked happy the reigns had been released. Like I said whatever happened, long may it continue

it seemed that last 20 min the players gained an extra yard of pace and looked a half decent team, anyway the result made my day COYH

Its in the HDM now

A jubilant Lee Radford believes playing with freedom allowed Hull FC to come back from the dead in the last quarter to stun local rivals Hull KR to win 22-20.

The Black and Whites looked lost and in disarray down 20 points on the hour mark, before Jamie Shaul's long-range try sparked one of the best comebacks in Hull derby history.

Radford admits the coaching staff implored Hull's forwards to utilise a more ad-lib style of play in the last 20 minutes, with FC seemingly out of the contest.

This led to some incredible tries, with Scott Taylor, Liam Watts and Mahe Fonua all coming up with huge offloads to help Hull steal the victory.

I can take defeats if we are at least trying to play rugby.
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry today. We proved we can play rugby when we want to, and makes the first sixty minutes all the more baffling. And frustrating.
I hope this is a turning point and we play in a less structured way (attack wise) from hereonin. We have the players to do it.

Thank you, bonaire.

Still none the wiser then as to what the official game plan was before the 60 minute mark. Although the inference is that if they were implored to be more ad-lib for the last 20, they were instructed to be more cautious for the first hour.

So the question remains - why? After our miraculous and incautious start to the season?

FFS just enjoy the win. We've only got 72 hours before Warrington hammer us.

No. No it isn't. Just the opposite, in fact. Why would you need to implore a side to change to a playstyle that they allegedly prefer and have only abandoned on strict instructions from the coach?

Implore means to plead, BTW. As per my previous statements.

Any way you look at it, it just doesn't wash.
