We haven't even played the Good Friday fixtures and yet the Warrington fans seem to think they'll be resting quite a few players on Monday.

Easter Monday has recently been the hardest fixture to predict in recent years, with some upsets (Hull at Saints last year) or extreme results (Wigan 84-4 (?) at Rovers).

On paper, Warrington is a tough fixture, but could become more winnable if they turn up more focussed on Wigan next Friday, than us on Monday.

We (Wire) have two of our biggest league games (if not THE two biggest) of the season sandwiching the Hull game on Monday. As a fan I see the Hull game as 2 points to be won (or lost) whereas putting our upstart chomical cousins in their place and upsetting the locals at the pie dome are way way more important (if you could choose to beat us or Rovers which would you prefer?).

However I'm sure that even if one or two players are rotated Tony Smith and the seventeen that take to the pitch will be totally focused on yourselves and bringing the points home come Easter Monday.

Good Luck for Friday.

I would never doubt that whatever 17 you put out on Monday won't be trying to beat Hull.

Appreciate, the Wolves fans wanting to beat Widnes and Wigan, just as we'd always want to beat Rovers. However, as you have got off to such a good start, I'd have thought you'd prioritise getting every win available, not risk losing a game in the hope of increasing your chances of winning the next.

If we beat Rovers, we'll be well up for Monday and should be able to compete against whichever team you put out. If we lose at Rovers, our recent decline in form will be more seen as more than a dip and I'd expect you to be strong favourites to beat us.

Enjoy your game v Widnes. Should be a great game on current form and sounds like you will have a big crowd to cheer you on.

I kind of see what Warrington fans might be thinking cos if they beat Widnes and Wigan then their closest rivals at the top will drop even further behind so they can almost afford to take a loss against us in the interests of resting their best players to have the best chance of beating Wigan and not risk injuries. Actually quite good logic. Obviously they will still go for every win so we shouldn't be negligent.

As for the result, really aren't sure to be honest, I'm gonna go for a loss but got a strange feeling that we can at least push them very close like the Wigan or Cas games and if we can do that then who knows.

I can only speak for myself, but league position is irrelevant. We could be joint top with Hull and have Widnes and wigan in the bottom four and I would still prefer to win those two games if I could only have two out of three. Widnes and wigan are the two traditional Christmas and Easter derbies (Saints broke in on the act whilst Widnes were in the wilderness) and victory in those fixtures, especially wigan away, mean everything.

If we have no injuries and use our squad then I can see it being a close game

Think we should of kept 4 of our 9 forwards fresh for this game.
Feka and Hadley should of been in against Rovers, if Hadley not good enough by mow never will be.
In my opinion Bowdon,Green,Manu plus the dropped Thompson be ideal as fresh players

warrington play with intensity which is what we struggle against. Can only see a wire win but hope I'm wrong.
