Joking aside , I hope htw can get back to his junior form playing against men and we have 2 homegrown halfbacks for years to come . Be a shame to lose either. And abdul, im sorry, hes not our half back answer, although been 6ft and 17 stone, radford probably thinks he is . And I agree the dean rumour reaction is a bit ott
HTW hasn't lost any form for me, he was excellent last year, just over shadowed by Reece Dean who had an excellent year. Harry's the real deal, he has the best skill set to help him adapt to first team and hopefully playing at a better level this year will set him up for first team next. Reece is a FB for me (where he played tonight). As for Abdull, no doubt he's a long term 13 but think he has to play 6 in the meantime until he matures physically to enable him to cope at 13.
I know who I'd rather have in the back row between Hadley & Washbrook.
Tyson Wilson had a great game tonight and ran the line also really impressed with Lancaster who got 5 tries two of which were truly acrobatic affairs in the corner. He looked a lot faster than last time out at Brantingham. Star of the show though for all the Featherstone fans sat near us was Matongo who had a big, big game and made yards as well as showing some deft footwork at times too, while Jez Litten was really sharp from acting half. Featherstone toiled well all night but lacked the power of a very enthusiastic hull side.

I really hope he only played fb tonight to give abdul game time to get his fitness up, hes the best young hb weve had for years (potentially) and already trying to change his position, its crazy . He showed last week against keighley for doncaster hes more than capable.

Losing either of these two, could be a huge mistake.
Agreed - players like these don't come along that often for us so we need to tie them down.
Rated higher, and performed better than players like Lilley at Leeds (who is playing for their 1st team) and players like Patten at Wire who has also had 1st team rugby, so we need to ensure we keep them

Harrys a great player and Reece too, theres more than enough room for them together for the future.
Not a great season for Harry last year, had a few injury problems which is probably the toll of playing so much rugby over youth years and the usual over expectation from Hull FC fans.
I think this U23 / Reserves plus a bit of duel reg will do these kids a massive favour this year and im sure we'll' see glimpses of one or both in first team.

Ive got no substance to this , just a nagging feeling that Reece will be a Dobbin come next season

They're 20 I think? It depends how many half backs you want in your squad. If we're planning on bringing in a 6, would you want Abdull, HTW, Dean, Sneyd, new signing and Carlos as cover?. Maybe Dean got the heads up a while back that Rovers would put £35k on the table, maybe we don't think he's worth that? All speculation but there are likely all sorts of factors at play. There are a lot of promising players in the 23s so hardly surprising some are attracting interest from other clubs. We can't keep them all.
