Well that was certainly a strange one, even for Hull Fc. Started like a train threatening to demolish all before us, the disallowed tries seemed to un-nerve us and from that point onwards we very quickly lost our bearings ending up a very well beaten side indeed.
Just as I wasn't convinced after the Catalan game that we hadn't suddenly turned into serious challengers for the big prizes, so I'm not as equally convinced that we are nowhere near as bad as last night seemed to suggest.
We are still, unfortunately, nothing more than a mid table side as we have been for a number of years now. A mid table side who are capable of good days, bad days, indifferent days and all points inbetween. Last night was one of the bad ones. It will be counterbalanced at some point by a good one. The end result come August will probably be our usual 7th/8th spot which, realistically, I think is where most of us expected to be.
I don't profess to know the answers to this seemingly never ending circle of good/bad/indifferent/ad nauseaum, but there are deeper issues at play here that merely changing the head coach will only have a superficial effect on. There are long standing problems with regard to attitude and culture, possibly going back years, which remain at the root cause of our inability to maximise the potential of the club.
In the immediate short term, we once again find ourselves approaching a 3 game run around Easter time which may possibly define 2016 for Hull Fc. 3 wins on the bounce and the picture will look a good deal healthier. 1 from 3 however will leave us with a lot of work to do to even make the top 8 which will be beyond the pale for most of us on here.
All we can hope right now is that the players are determined to get the season back on track as soon as, which was hopefully the reasoning behind the bizarre goings on in the dressing room last night.
You would have thought we would be used to this drama/crisis/ecstasy by now wouldn't you . Life's never dull in Fc land that's for sure. Keep the faith everyone, it's not as if we haven't been down this road before (too many times, eh)
I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

A little generous perhaps.
Good at directly running towards touchlines. Said before this season started that it was make or break for him and I've seen nothing to suggest that he's the answer at half back. His kicking isn't even as good as some make out but his creative play is bordering on a joke. Abdull was also poor last night. Pryce can't cut it physically now but when he does interject into the game he's different class to any other half at Hull.
Brown takes the game to the opposition. He runs on both sides of the pitch, not just one side, and takes the ball to the line. Time after time. Not all of his passes are effective but most are. He steps before the line then passes back over his step or takes the other option. He kicks the ball high and makes it hard to catch. It's not world class but boy does it show just how poor our creative players are.

I thought snyed would come good but really started to doubt him now. It's one thing trying and playing poorly but he just seems happy to let Houghton give it to the forwards time and again. A good half wants to boss the show and show his skill set. Unless he seriously turns his form around I'd drop him for Dean or Wilson. At least they would bring enthusiasm and maybe ask some questions. How many times do you look back at a game and can't think of anything your scrum half has done.

should be an interesting game, we may have a new coach, may not, you may have had 20 points deducted and going through the motions waiting for our grudge game in the middle 8s lol
I'm just amazed how poor you are now. I put a tenner on you for top 4 after 1sy two matches as your pack looked immense. Seems everyone's Sussed you out. .move the ball one out and shift your pack about, then hit you out wide. You seemed very leggy last night.
With regards to points deduction, not really bothered as its a board room issue. Am enjoying watching us play rugby at the mo and playing as a team instead of show ponies

Your sides gash pal, full of travel men who can't hold onto a lead.
