Vikings Stay Top After Stunning Hull Top of the table Widnes Vikings welcomed sixth placed Hull FC to the Select Security Stadium hoping to keep their dream start to 2016 alive. Denis Betts’ side have torn up the form book so far this season and exceeded all but their own expectations and FC aren’t too far behind with two wins, and two close defeats, in their four games this season.
A Vikings victory would put them two points clear at the top, but a win by 41 points or more for FC would lift them into the top four.
It had the promise of a close and competitive game, but turned out to be one-sided rout.
