Imo he is a better 6 than a 13.
As for the game itself. It might be a bit early to be calling this a must win game, but if we want a top 4 spot it probably is. Widnes have obviously been playing well, but I'm not entirely sold on them yet. Two wins against the weakest teams in the league, a loss to a Salford side we dispatched of easily, and whilst any wins against Leeds and Hudds are good wins, those clubs are pretty much in disarray atm. I'd like to think that with their fixtures we would also be 4/5, if not unbeaten, whereas with our fixtures they might not have got off the mark yet. I don't think it's unreasonable to say we will be the best side they've played so far. I expect a tough test, but I also expect a win. If we do enough to win and end up with a narrow loss yet again you will have to really start to question our mentality.
I'll go Hull by 8.
Exactly my thoughts. If I could of had any teams opening fixtures the way they've panned out its widnes ' s without doubt

What Widnes do well is move the ball fast to their wings. We seem to struggle with teams who use the cut out pass to move the ball wide. Mellor is also a problem breaking down the middle with his pace. Abdul is a big lad and i would like to see him attack the line a lot more.He is big enough to take a few tackles. Radford should have him in training to kick 40/20s.We must be the only team in the league that never kicks a 40/20

Shaul Talanoa Ellis Logan Michaels Carlos Sneyd Taylor Houghton Bowden Manu Mini Thompson
Pritchard - if Frank isnt fit then Feka for me Watts Green Washbrook
You would have our Gareth Ellis at Centre??? On the one pitch in the league that can completely benefit people with good footwork and pace?

Widnes have done well to be top of the league, but realistically who have they beaten so far.
Wakefield - who are everyone's favourite to finish bottom. Rovers - who have only managed 1 point so far and were beaten at home by Wakefield. Leeds - who have had a disastrous start to the season and have lots of players out injured. Giants - see Leeds.
They lost to Salford who we comprehensively beat.
Despite their league position I don't think we should be fearing them. An FC victory for me.
I think Logan needs dropping, he's been seriously dissapointing both in attack and defence and his work rate is just not good enough. Then Micheals to right centre who adds defensively there and Naughton to right wing, keep Carlos at left centre and bring in JA if fit if not then go with Reece Dean at 6. Forwards as you were but they (forwards) needs reminding to keep their discipline as it's costing us. Trusting in Micheals and Shaul to deal with high kicks without interference to the opposaition needs mentioning too, think we've given away 3 penalties due to obstruction on kicks.
Hopefully a good close game and I do not expect to beat your team. We are playing well and I always say a long season and games can still go either way. Hope you bring a few to Widnes and may the best team win.

ATEOTD I think we will do them by 10.
Im dissapointed in Logan too. Only seen glimpses of what he might be able to do and his defense is poor and no better than Crooks when he was here. Not sure id drop him though as hes young enough to hopefully improve. Saying that isnt his side Pryces too whose knackered? Instead id try and protect him a bit more and like Dave said put Ellis out there to help out
