Aimed especially at all the cocky folk who were giving it the big one! Were not Leeds, were not Wigan, were FC and weve achieved nothing for a long time so dont get carried away after two wins!
Tonight we was very average! Crooks got the better of Tuimavave, Pritchard was a rather fat looking pudding, Watts has gone to sleep again, Bowden dissapeared. Maybe just maybe Cas's lightweight pack for the future simply battered us?
Back down to earth now as i said we most easily could be on previosu crowing threads! And now Wigan next week! Lose against them and we dont exactly have a good record against them and were just an average SL side again. On tonights performance id say its 50-50

Bowden played? Actually, I thought your pack came out on top - just. However, the difference was the halves. Gale and Roberts made the correct decision almost every time. Despite good go forward from your forwards, Sneyd and Pryce didn't create anything on the back of it. I thought Minichello was your best player.

Absolutely shocking tonight, looked like we were afraid to tackle them, didnt learn when they kept attacking, that right side, open every single time down there.

It's a wake up call, and it shows we still have plenty to work on, but it hasn't made me rethink our top 4 chances.
It wasn't at the standard of our last two performances, but it wasn't a bad performance by any stretch of the imagination. I thought Cas were excellent, yet if Michaels scores that try (let's be honest that should be bread and butter to any winger) we win. Our forwards were undoubtedly making the more yards, but their offloads and ball movement counteracted that, I thought it was an interesting game to watch in that respect.
It was one of those nights where we just came up with too many poor plays at important moments. Michaels' non finish and his forward pass to Houghton, Pritchard lashing out when we were in prime position, Watt's penalty on the last (that was maybe an even bigger moments that Michaels'), Pryce's kick when we were well placed to at least get a draw.
I thought we asked enough questions in attack, we scrambled well against a team that was throwing the ball around with abandon and had we won it wouldn't have at all been undeserved, but it wasn't our night. Two well matched teams, Cas just edges it on the day, full credit to them.
We were going to lose at some point, it's the response that will tell us if we've really got what it takes.

It was the only reason we kept in the game for so long, our pack. Thought manu was our best player, unfortunately, think cas have just shown every other super league team how to play against us, wont always be good enough to beat us, but enough to make me think we are maybe in for enougher frustrating season. Hull where poor tonight, cas took their chances well

^^ This No great drama. Cas are a very good side and Powell had certainly done his homework. I look forward to the response next week.
