This will be a good test for our defence which fell apart the last time we played a potential top 6 side, Cas. Warrington could win things this year and no doubt will attack our half backs with pace.
Again I am just hoping for the same commitment as shown against Widnes, first half at Cas and Hull Kr. It would be great if we can cut down on our handling errors and also not give away as many stupid penalties.
I know what you are saying in that you want to give certain players a run out and rest others in a game we have little expectation of winning and there is a logic to that and this is the ideal time
However on the flip side and expressing a belief that many coaches hold is the theory that getting a crack at first team should always be made very difficult. The idea is that it's the player spot to lose and that can heppen only through injury or lack of form. This engenders the belief amongst the players who have a starting spot that they are the elite. This gives them a desire to keep that shirt at all costs knowing that if they drop out they to will struggle to regain a place. This method is especially effective after a win.
I'm not saying which I think is right because I'm simply not knowlegable enough as you have pointed out on many occasions - just a thought.
