Gutted. If he'd stayed they would have been staring down the relegation hole

Wow. Imagine claiming you've just started yet another five year plan (glossing over the last failed one) so telling fans to take the long term view, then knee jerking into sacking your head coach a month into it. What a bag of spanners.

Yeh We turned his offer down and went instead for Lee Radford.

Sitting back and looking at it I would be very, very surprised if they haven't got someone already lined up to take over, after Friday myself, otherwise why get rid before the weekend I think there will be an announcement next week myself!?

Radford amd Chester are the same level but completely differing circumstances, to infer as your shocked emoticon says that we would be any worse with Chester is in my honest opinion incorrect.
Chester never stood a chance quite honestly and exceeded expectations and did well to get them to Wembley.
He'd do well to get a job as an assistant under a top coach somewhere or even a championship club.
Personally I think the trend of players hanging their boots and getting a SL coaching job with a year or so is a mistake and not helping the standard of SL as a whole.

You can't resist can you Bumpy. The differing circumstances are due to actions that have been taken by the Hull management, Lee Radford included. The thread was about Chester but you obviously felt the need to put your little anti-Radford spin on it. Let it rest, Lee's here, he's doing a decent job at the minute and he's staying. You need to accept that.

That's your interpretation of what I've said but clearly your adgenda twists your way of thinking.
I'm defending Chester, I'm also saying that players that come straight from playing and spend only a year or two as an assistant are not good enough or experienced enough to be SL coaches and in my opinion this has had a detrimental effect on the overall standard of SL.
IMHO that has being shown over the last few seasons including the likes of Paul Anderson and Keiren Cunningham.
If you perceive that as an attack on Radford that's up to you but it clearly isn't and as I have said already on other threads I am more than happy with the way things are and have added my praise of the coach, owner and players.
