Oh, he's good at centre. Only another 8 positions in which for him to do an equally good for you. If needed. Superman has done them all. A few times, in fact

Thanks to the Leigh fan for letting us know how Rich went again not surprised class act in a number of positions great brain which makes up for his lack of speed great defender who reads the game a tackle before most will add something to your team for sure

We were on the back foot for nearly all of the match due to a horrific penalty count and a generally sloppy peformance and were 6 - 20 down with just 18 minutes to go. At that stage Whiting had been solid but not really involved, similar to a lot of our other players.
But, cometh the hour, cometh the man. When we hit our straps we had a 5 minute spell when we cut loose and scored 18 points in just 5 minutes and Whiting was at the heart of it. A few nice carries, a few nice passes and then held his composure really well on the winning try. He was clear through with no support but he held on and when support came he found Micky Higham to set up a winning try.
Summary: Whiting is indeed Superman and was the main contributor to the winning try for Leigh.
Cheers Hull

Cheers for the update. And thanks for volunteering to be this board's "Whiting Watch" correspondent for the next 2 months

Whiting had another top performance today in a tough away win at Dewsbury. We are still struggling for centres and Rich has nailed down a spot in that position since he joined.
Leigh fans are keen for us to try and either extend his loan deal or sign him up permanently. Ultimate professional and just looks so comfortable in everything he does. Been a great asset for us since joining.
Scored his 1st try for the club today too. A 90 yard team effort direct from receiving a kick off, Whiting finished it off from about 40 yards out.

Superman!!! He just reads the game brilliantly, was always a favourite of mine. Lost a bit of speed but can still be a game changer!

No offence but really hope you don't and we keep him at Hull FC for his ability and worth both on and off the pitch for years to come.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

No surprise that he's doing so well. As I've said before, I really hope Hull retain his services in some capacity when his playing days are over. I imagine his worth to the club to be greater than whatever salary he's on. You can't buy what he has. My favoutite player in the last decade. I'd still have him on our bench!

Just out of interest, does anyone remember what year he played in every position (1-13) in a single season? I'm sure he's still the only player in the Superleague era to do it but can't remember when.
