My grandfather has just got his blue badge. Does anybody know how he goes about getting access to the disabled parking zones on the perimeter of the stadium on match days?
He needs to get in touch with the club and will probably have to go on a waiting list . i have just got one for my father in law after being on the waiting list for three years it costs £25 for the year hope this helps.

I can confirm this.
I have been taking my grandad for years and we were on the list for a good 3-4 years before getting perimeter parking.
The club did give us a pass to park in the main car park though which we had for all the years we waited. When we first got the pass my grandad wasn't in a wheelchair and was pretty stubborn in wanting to walk and not be put in a wheelchair, so we needed to be as close to the ground as possible. Now he is in a wheelchair I would much prefer to be in the back in the main car park. This is because it is a bit of a mare getting in and out of the perimeter before and after the game.
They have also just decided that if you park on the perimeter you need to be parked up 45 mins before the game, this is not the case in the main car park.
hope this helps

I'm the Chair of Hull FC's disabled group, so first of all, you and your grandad are welcome to join us at our quaterly meetings we hold. Secondly there is a big waiting list for disabled parking around the stadium bowl and the Carnegie (at back of the old library). Sue Smith used to deal with the disabled parking but seeing as she has now left the club you would need to speak to either Haley on Reception or Sarah McAllister who would be able to help you.
Willa, it has always been 45 minutes parking prior to kick off, although they are lenient as they know disabled people have different needs.
Also, if anyone needs to be at the Club shop or Office during normal office hours on weekdays (not match days) and they have a blue badge, there is an intercom at the bollards to use and they will let you through to park.

The stadium bowl ones are ready Diablo, I've picked mine up and used it for the derby. Because they were late this year instead of sending out letters they phoned everyone. You'd better give them a call tomorrow as you won't be able to park on Friday night without it.
