Tierney on a 6 month loan would be good, we wouldn't pay much for the loan, and he'd be gone by the time McNally fit again

Forgotten about Ben. wasn't he playing full back regularly at York, when on loan from Cas?

I've often (but not always) been disappointed with Gregg on defence. However, Dave Parkinon's excellent stats in the programme show McNally as our leading try scorer/creator last season with 5 individual tries and 37 others created. To put that in context, Martyn Ridyard had one individual try and 27 created.

I know stats can be manipulated, but most Leigh fans would agree that McNally was involved in far more tries than any other Leigh player last season.

McNally is an brilliant attacking fullback but his defensive talents aren't quite as good. He will be sorely missed and we need a very capable fullback to replace him, there isn't one in the squad at the moment.

I think folk would be surprised at how good Pownall would be with an extended run at Full Back. Not as good as Gregg but nevertheless good. Defence better, attack not as good, pace as good as.
