According to wiki.

On 1 December 2015, Adam Quinlan signed a 1-year contract to return to the St. George Illawarra Dragons starting in 2016.

Doesn't mean he can't be released again I suppose, just like he was when he went to saints.

We obviously have some cap room and an overseas spot as we nearly got Jason chan! Personally I'd not being anyone in and play Ryan there! If I was going to do something I'd look at loaning the young lad from Wigan (Marshall) impressed me every time I've seen him!

Terrible news, Gregg is arguabaly our best player, certainly was player of the season last year for me (& for 2 years before that I can remember not being able to pick between him and someone else). Still Pownall started off at Full Back & has covered for Gregg there rather well, has the pace and agility to put on some good attacks but lacks some of Gregg's creativity. People have been calling for Ryan to be given a go at Full Back for years and with Rangi & Ridy at half back it could work, don't know how Ryan would do under the high balls and as the last line of defence though. Think we're OK for the minute but couldn't stand another long term injury; I hope we've got the ability to recall Reynolds if injuries get any worse, I wouldn't do it unless we're absolutely desperate though, he's far better off playing regularly than sitting at the sides all season because we needed him for one or two games, don't want to mess Dewsbury about in case they tell us where to go. Would imagine Rowley saying "We're looking to bring someone in." means "I've had my eye on someone for a while now I'd like to sign." will be interesting to see who it is.

Potential replacements?

Lee Smith. Was on trial at Hull but don't know if he has signed for them yet.

Craig Hall. More of a utility player but can play at FB. Wakey player but Bradford have been linked with him a lot during the off season.

Morgan Escare. Lost the number 1 shirt at Catalan but doubt there is any chance of us signing him to be honest. Maybe a season long loan if we are lucky but still a long shot.

What ever happened to Greg Eden? Remember him being decent at Hudds then hit and miss at HKR then went to Aus but has never made it into the first grade over there as far as I know.

Out of those Nozzy, I wouldn't mind Morgan Escare. Like you say,a long season loan would be great.

Without wishing injury on anyone I actually think this could be a blessing for Leigh, as has been mention should solve the half back problem and for me Mcnally was a little bit of a weak link in that backline.

Couldn't disagree more, I'd go so far as to say McNally is our best player. He's very creative, so many of our trys last season came through him.

Sorry Greg, I normally think you are fairly knowledgeable on the rugby front (if a bit of a wind up at times!) but you are way off with that one. McNally is the best fullback in the Championship and in no way a weak link.

Fail to see how losing our only proper full back and last years player of the season to a potentially season ending injury is a "blessing". Then again you seem convinced that Fax have the greatest forward pack outside the NRL so maybe your judgement is slightly questionable

I think McNally was the 3rd highest try scorer in the Championship last year and must have been close to the top in terms of tries set up too. This is a massive blow to our team and the season hasn't even started yet.

Gutted with this news to be honest :DEPRESSED:

spot on nozzy, absolutely gutted for gregg, and our chances of
Promotion have IMO taken a huge knock with this. The only position on the field that we dont have a proper replacement for.

I would love to see Ben Reynolds come back in, not so that Brierley can plat FB though, as I don't believe he is big or strong enough as last man on the line.

IMO Reynolds could play anywhere from 9, 7, 6 or 1, he is a real if raw talent & given the coaching & opportunities could be a star, he has real quality & natural ability.

Get him back or find a FB specialist & steal him away from another Club.
