But yeah Wigan are the big bad wolf
Glass houses lads.
Or... you could acknowledge that in the Bailey and Walker incident the man they 'beat senseless' was also sentenced to 15 months for the violence he meted out to them, that the pair were teenagers when it happened and that it was over 12 years ago. That whilst what Hardaker did was most certainly wrong he's not the first to abuse a match official and he won't be the last, and he's almost certainly not the only RL player to use that sort of language. And finally I fully agree with you about Ferres' actions, I find them deplorable and I would rather we hadn't signed him - however what he did technically had nothing to do with Leeds.
On the other hand...
None of our players have been banned for deliberately breaking a players jaw
None of our players have been banned for being cokeheads
None of our players have been banned for attacking an unconscious player
I don't recall ever seeing our coach telling our players to 'be reckless' and 'knock people out'
I don't recall our coach ever accusing another player of faking injury
I don't recall Leeds practising the cannonball tackle
I don't recall Leeds inventing the 'fake trapped arm' to cheat and milk penalties
Leeds have never intentionally (or otherwise for that matter) cheated the salary cap to avoid relegation
And I've never seen a Leeds player kick another RL player as I saw J Tomkins do to McGuire a couple of years back
Fact is the three longest bans issued in the Super League era have gone to Wigan players, your coach has a history of making excuses, and fans like you have a history of just making things up and/or accusing anyone who dares question the mighty Wigan of being jealous of your might in the pre-salary cap era.
Now about that glasshouse...
