Cue RLFans meltdown
Or alternatively...
Wane said: “It is plain and simple that when you have so many players involved internationally it does affect your start to the season.
“It annoys me that I have not got any friendlies where we can play everyone together.”
Wane added: “We started poorly last year and every year, it is a known fact. If we had started better last year we would have won the League Leaders Shield.”
Your coach is an excuse maker, plain and simple - but then we don't want to let the truth get in the way of your condescension do we...
And having looked at it his argument holds no water at all. Let's have a look at Leeds, they've had some rough starts to seasons themselves, but it's either been down to us playing badly or the opposition playing well, certainly not international call ups.
A few example seasons... 2007 Series vs NZ - Leeds 7 squad players 2008 - Leeds lose only 2 of first 20 games, GF winners
2012 International Series - Leeds 6 squad players 2013 - Leeds lose only 2 of first 14 games, CC Finalists
2013 World Cup - Leeds 6 squad players 2014 - Leeds lose only 2 of first 14 games, CC winners
So maybe Shaun, just maybe, it's you...

Maybe?
No maybe about it, the guy is an embarrassment to Wigan and RL in general.

That's a bit rich seeing as McDermott will blame anyone from the ref to the crowd to the kit man for a Leeds loss.

McDermott is one of the most humble coaches around. A quality obviously unrecognisable in pieland.
