A total guess, but would imagine contributing around 16 players to the comp is about average? If I've read it properly there's a limit of £100k to the dispensation, so probably not a big advantage, especially if, like you say, you can't afford it. Would be interesting to see who has the most/least, but just looking at ours was a pain so won't be doing that.

I think it's only players currently at you club that meet the criteria of playing 10 SL games in the previous season, even if them games was on loan at another club
With KR having so many loaned in, every other club should thank them

Maybe so, it depends how you interpret 5.11c. I'd used Mild Rover's view which seems to be the spirit of the opening statement of the section in rewarding clubs that produce SL players for the competition rather than only those retained by their original club. If it's only those at the club, academy trained by the club and with SL 10 games last year it's less. I'd assumed you could count the likes of Lee, Briscoe etc in the same way MR was counting Mariano. Would be quite difficult to get to the maximum of 20 otherwise, having 20 players on your books raised through your own academy and with 10 SL or NRL games last year is a big ask.

Yeah, it'd seem strange to me if you were getting a dispensation for Josh Hodgson, but not for Tom Briscoe. Unless it were only for players returning from the NRL to their first club. Production rather than location of players is what matters from a RFL POV though - there's no particular value in them incentivising clubs re-signing their former players.
It can be read the way Hutchie has, but it just doesn't seem very sensible to me.

Reece Lyne also I think. The Hull ones probably Shaul, Logan, Yeaman, Abdull, Houghton, Green, Bowden, Hadley, Washbrook. Tbf not sure whether all meet the 21s criteria eg Shaul, nor who would claim Lineham as I think he was at York at that age. We'd probably get Crooks counted next year though. A decent contribution in terms of numbers anyway.
