I feel his is a lucky coach, he seems to be in the right place at the right time.
I do know he is a hard working coach, who put in a lot of work when at the Broncos. So perhaps he made his own luck.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Who knew that all those years bumbling along in the lower reaches of Super League were actually the glory days.

Sacking Mac wasn't the problem - failing to appoint an adequate replacement was.

I see Rob Powell aspired to mediocrity.

Strange as I can only remember getting gubbed every week when he was in charge.

As Mac has said there is a significant difference in his new role. He now manages fitness coaches, defence coaches, attack coaches.....At Quins it was pretty much him

Just goes to show how far behind the infrastructure was/is at the club

I still believe if we had brought in Michael McGuire post Mac we would still be in SL, particularly as that year we spent the full SC.

Rob Powell won 4 of his 5 first games in charge and 4 of his 5 last games in change. Only 8 more wins in the intervening 49 games.

TR won only 8 from 42 (19%) in his 2013-14 spell.
