Speaking as a neutral with no axe to grind. I think on the whole this is a brilliant signing for Leigh, if nothing else it should boost you home attendance and merchandise sales. Rangi Chase, former man of steel is undoubtedly a very good player, when he has his head sorted. Whether he lives up to the expectations of Leigh fans will depend on which Rangi turns up and how well your coaching staff handle him. If you can get him back to the player he was at Cas, then he could be the final piece of the jigsaw that gets you back up into Super League. If the out of sorts, unsettled, unpredictable, unfocused Rangi turns up at LSV next season.........
I hope he finds his best form and settles in well with you guys, if he does it should be a cracking season for you and career salvation for him.

Good post Tomcat.
Neutral as you say, unbiased & untainted by the anti-Leigh spite & jealousy that often pervades posts from 'some' fans of other Clubs.

Well said, Tomcat. I have to say that our coaching team/football director have a pretty good track record recently, in re-motivating players who have been 'out of sorts'. They really are good at making (most) players feel 'wanted'.
Here's one for you Leighers,my local Turf Accountant ,has Mr Chase at 3-1 not to complete the season, what say you Tripster, worth a couple of shillings?

Did you have a bet with someone on here that Chase wouldn't sign for Leigh? Have you paid out on that one yet?

Mr Iggy my Lankies friend, I didn't make any such bet about Mr Chase I merely commented he wouldn't sign for Leigh unless the SC was altered so in fact I was right, my only wager at present is one of 100 pounds with Charlie the clown,as to Fax finishing higher in the league than Leigh by the league I don't mean the middle 8s but the normal season, and I stand by this wager.

And you're quite definitively incorrect.
