Hope it goes well for Rangi. He made a very bad decision moving to Salford when he did and is now paying the price by having to drop down a level as no other SL club was interested in signing him. Rangi seems to prefer being a big fish in a small pond, and there is nothing wrong with that if it's what makes him happy. However, Leigh fans need to realise that he is always thinking about his next move. He always thinks the grass is greener elsewhere after only a very short time. And don't expect any loyalty. He has asked to leave every club he has ever played for at St George, Cas (who propelled him to the best rugby of his career) and now Salford. He threw the teddy out of the cot when he wasn't selected by NZ and decided to play for England. He did the same when he wasn't selected for England and has told McNamara he won't play for England again. If anything at all doesn't go his way, his solution is always to leave. As said, I have nothing but fond memories of him in a Cas shirt. Leigh fans will undoubtedly see some magical stuff from him. He has all the ability he needs to be a top, top half back. When you are playing mostly part-time teams, it will be like taking a machine gun to a knife fight. I really hope that Leigh is a club where Rangi can thrive and that he is back in SL next season, where he deserves to be. However, if it's not with Leigh then be prepared for the "I need to play at the top level" excuse when he asks to leave.

Guess it depends on how Rowley sees Rangi's role. If he sees him as the main organiser then Ridyard is probably under threat. If he wants Ridyard to continue as the chief organiser and kicker then Chase is more likely to replace or interchange with Brierley who tends to have more of a free reign in attack.
Could even see us using a half back on the bench to keep options open.
From PR's statement,I would say the interchange option is top of the list.

Ok Ok I admit it I was wrong , you have Mr Chase SO WHAT ?Does it worry anybody? Not anyone from Fax as we beat you last time and they say you are only as good as your last game,I agree Degsy has spent a couple of shilling on yer new squad but will it come together?Where does it leave Mr Ridyard? Can you keep Mr Ridyard happy? It's going to be interesting .Folk keep asking me where has Faxes RL funding cash gone?I don't know,I haven't spent it,I do know we have a strong squad next year capable of beating anyone so don't give me the unbeatable pony you usually spout. I bet you haven't bought it for him.Seriously Frank,I think the signing of Rangi will increase home attendances but I can't see it rising over 4,500 very often, after Bradford and maybe Fax, the Club said a the break even figure a couple of seasons ago was 2000,I'm not sure what it will be now.

Probably around the 4,500 mark will be "break even" money Charlie.
Derek has stated that he has put circa £500k, yes a cool 1/2 £Million into the Club over the past few seasons & I have no reason to doubt it.
Also Charlie, in one of my other posts I suggested that we/Leigh could potentially achieve an average home attendance of 4,500, with the 'Rangi' effect (much like the Moi Moi effect), our great brand of RL, & even stronger squad & push towards SL, I wouldn't bet against it.
Season ticket sales should be up across the board, adults, seniors & child season tickets showing a marked increase on previous seasons.
I don't like to get all "we're gonna win the League/Cup, get promoted" etc so I will steer away from those sorts of predictions/claims, however I honestly believe & hope that we will see 8,000 + on at the LSV against Bradford & people turned away from the North Stand *FULL*
Here's to another great year to be a Leigh fan, promotion or not.
