Rather cryptically, Sheens and MK both came out and said that they probably wouldn't go for a marquee signing for the coming season. Hinting that the right player for the Club was key. I'm thinking that they may be targeting someone who's coming off-contract at the end of next season.

If MK has said we have used up all our overseas spots and with English clubs unlikeley to want to release players of any quality, and with our SC restrictions I guess we have finished out recruitment. Rather concerned with that and elements of the squad, as well as being into pre season now as well. What you guys thinking, coz i can't see a top 8 here. Maybe Its just me but i'm real worried how were gonna fair tbh.

Our only hope is that we have a hungry and hard working bunch of players that will gel and play as a team. If the current squad doesn't have these qualities we are in big trouble and it will be another long and painful season.

I for one won't be buying any of the usual pre season hype from the club and the players. I'll wait and see where we are at after about 4-5 games.

I can only see a maximum of one win from those first 5 games. Could be a long and painful season. But if the players are trying their best, I would rather have that than a bunch of primadonas which is what we had last year.

One things for sure we are going to know a lot more about Mr Sheen's level of competence working with less talented coaches and players to what he's accustomed to. A very high reputation will well and truly be on the line come February won't it? Let's see just how good he is. Forget about judging young Ian Watson he's just an ambitious, dedicated, Salfordian fall guy for Sheen's, who'll be pulling all the strings.
