Yeah they are still playing and well worth a look. Saw Slaughter last year at Rebellion and a couple of years before and they were really good. They should be really good at their home coming. The testies and killing joke coming up for me over the next couple of months.

The Staves at Leeds Beckett last week - the Mrs is very enamoured of this modern folk stuff, whereas I wasn't expecting a lot; as it turned out, they made a lovely noise and I very much enjoyed myself!

I listened to their CD & was disappointed. Went to see the wonderful Jasmine Kennedy at Brudenell Social Club last night. What a talent. She was supporting The Lost Poets but we had to leave before they came on.

I got two tickets for the upcoming Stone Roses gigs last week - on a whim really, as I didn't log on to the site til half an hour after they went on sale and thought they'd all be gone. The Mrs is taking no 1 son - she was at Spike Island, so it will be a bit of nostalgia for her; not sure what he'll make of it, given that he spends his entire life listening to grime and hip-hop.

Are tickets really £70-80?
Saw the Counterfeit Stones in Rock City Ilkley on Friday. £21 for a cover band is extortionate, but they were good fun.

I guess if you pay £20 to watch the Wildcats it will seem a bargain........
