For me I am left disappointed. For all his vocal bluster and "hot head" reputation his attacking stats this season are a resoundingly average 408 carries, 2617m, 6.41 avg gain.
I must admit I was hoping for much more when reading the hype when he was signed.
I didn't really buy in to the fact he was going to come over and 'rip it up', he had a good end to 2014, but prior to that had been an average NRL player. I think he has been solid for us.
Yes his m per carry stat isn't great, but he has the lowest error count of the regular starters - just 5 all year, and he tops the offload chart by a distance.
I think he has added something to our pack this season, and think he has been quick to jump in when our players are getting intimidated, but crucially, most of the time managed to keep a lid on things and not give away a penalty in those instances.
I think we all tend to forget that these guys have travelled 12000 miles and uprooted their families and lifestyles. Try thinking how you would perform if you were going the other way or even how lost you have felt moving from one job to another. It takes time for players to adjust to new surroundings and feel comfortable (some do it quickly, others dont). So a year is nothing. Remember Matt King. I am sure that he will do better next season.

With the exception of the travel post, fair points. His tackle busts are very low though and he is the 3rd highest penalty offender. I think I probably had expectations set too high especially as it was a season to forget.

His average gain of 6.41 isnt up there with the likes of Hill and Walmsley.. But so what.. alot of props arent up there.
Only downside for me is a few silly moments that have resulted in suspensions.
Great signing for me.. works tirelessly, gives his all and makes very few mistakes.
Great? You are comparing him against the performance of the Wire squad in general during a dismal season, not like for like against props of other clubs though.
A question I always like to pose, to objectively judge the quality of a Wire player, is "Would he get in the Saints, Wigan or Leeds starting 17".
Rationale being that the more you have that would, the more likely is the squad can compete with those teams. In 2011 we had a lot of players that would. Probably only Hill, Clarke now. Certainly not Sims.

ok, show me a prop from Leeds, Saints or Wigan that has been better than him on the stats this year.. other than Walmsley and Peacock.

Which stats would you like me to compare? I'm assuming not Avg Gain.
So in your mind he would make the pack at Leeds, Wigan or Saints for 2016? In my mind he wouldn't have made our pack in 2011.
Anyhow its sounds like I have got it in for him, which I haven't. He was probably one of our best 5 players last season...
