Maybe unfair to call the players rubbish , they are all good players
In thier own right But can only play how they are coached , the blame lies totally
With the coach. One man rugby is not the way to go , it has
Been proved time and time again this season right up to Sundays game , when the ball is passed results happen , as we were promised by PM
And his quote of ' playing wide expansive rugby ' .

My friend who was neutral was sat behind the sticks at the Swinton end, he also said the drop goal missed no Swinton fans cheered till the ref confirmed it.Should show up on video. He also said the disallowed Swinton try looked good.Think it was ref righting a wrong.

I said at the time the reaction from the swinton fans showed it missed.

I felt it had too and said so but my mate said it went down middle.

Soon be Monday.

It was the other 28 points that were the problem.

Let's be fair here, this must have been an awful season for any coach to handle. Not just Danny's untimely death, but the shocking injury list too. We did damn well to finish second.

But, a line was drawn in the sand and we were found wanting ....in the same way as we fell short against the same team all season. We had a full squad out, knew exactly what to expect and were unable to adapt.

We won't improve without change, it just depends how much change the club can afford

I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

Anon.

Back on the game

Still gutted, One thing that really sticks in my head is the relatively simple conversion missed in the first half, I said at the time that could be costly and well was

Not all bad at least I scored a try for us at half time, the challenge ;) Got some NZ V Eng tix coming for it, still would have swapped it for a cougar win

Although I agree that it really is: 'Time for a Change', given the fact that our Directors (in their infinite wisdom, and who on this earth can understand why) gave the current incumbent a 'Two Year Contract' even before the season started, it looks as though we are stuck with him until at least the end of next season, unless he resigns.

After all of the apologies last season after losing game after game, the same apologies and comments were commonplace this season. It's everyone else to blame except the coach. My personal belief is that the coach should take the ultimate responsibility. Look at 'JD'. He did and not only on the field at Keighley. He did everything and left us in a great position.

All you need do is look at JD's continuing rise in Australia. Our current coach needs to take a leaf out of JD's book. Had he done-so last season then we wouldn't be in the situation in which we find ourselves at present.

Those with ability, passion and the urge to succeed will whilst the others fall by the wayside.

I can only live in hope that the same old apologetic words will not be repeated next season and also hope that we give our three-quarters a chance.

Onwards and upwards (I hope)

For me March shouldn't have started the season here - We were relegated and he should have gone forget the Batley thing, with that team we had then relegation shouldn't av happened

March has again failed - We were not promoted and therefore failed - I believe the club is slowly dying in this league, missing out on big local games Bradford, Halifax, dews, fev etc

I know the season has been tough with the sad loss of Danny Jones, everyone rallied for that, that is bigger than the game pure and simple and I'm sure Marchy did a marvellous job through that period

But on a rugby side of things I do see a need for change we have gone massively backwards since JD left n off it too lack of finances may have a big part but not everything

back on the original topic - I would love to see Joel Monaghan given a player coach role here similarly to JD had, I'm sure he could bring a few quality guys with him, provide a vast amount of SL and NRL & International knowledge and experience with him and still be a valuable player in his own right, was shocked to see Wire get rid of him - He would probably tie some good links to Warrington for loans etc and indeed Catalan where his brother is. Obviously I'm not sure hes looking for that kind of role as I know after reading an article about him saying hes got another year or 2 in him yet - It would just set him off well too into coaching.

Sadly I cant see that happening and it will be same again next season, probably seeing crowds drop again
