I think he'll be a big loss and I'm not just saying that on the back of his performance today. His try scoring record in an average team is fantastic. Pearson mentioned a while back that he should have tried harder to keep him so maybe there was room at that time to accommodate him under the cap. His defensive reads are poor at times but so are a lot of wingers and he has only just turned 23 and with the right coaching has time to improve. Assuming Fonua plays centre next season we have lost our best winger by a country mile. With Logan inside of him we would have had a great right edge combination for many years.

Good player, but still makes errors and that showed today, cost us two try's in the first half, two walk ins and two brilliant finishes. I'd rather have kept him, but was he value for money and did he want to stay. I don't play the club for talking the money and investing it elsewhere such as Taylor, Pritchard and keeping Logan.
Logan could be a superstar and any winger outside could score 20 try's next year if he plays week in week out.
have a look at a certain Mr Martin Offiah's defensive record, still one of the best wingers ever. Tom is a HUGE loss to the club, not sure he's gone anywhere better looking at Warrington this season, but he fell out with Radford in March and was never going to stay.

Game has changed since Offiah's days and a winger has to be an around player, rather than just score trys. Lineham is a loss, certainly not a huge loss, no were near in the class of Briscoe.
Well I'm sorry to see him go. He's a good player already and there's still room for improvement. However given his injury record I can see the thinking behind cashing in on him now - though its not a decision I agree with and if he stays healthy for a few years it will look rather foolish.

Yep. He wanted to go and we managed to get a fee from it, that's all anyone knows on here.
Pretty gutted he's going though, he's scoring record this year has been fantastic after an injury hit 2014. Positionally he has to and will improve, but I'd struggle to pick out many other weak areas of his game.

Think Fonua will score equally as many tries given the same room. Fonua will be better in defence and will be far more destructive In his returns. Plus we got good money and this is his 1st full season ever. I'm fine with it given we'll have binman Fonua Naughton and lancaster as wing options

Fonua will play centre not wing Our wing options for next season are poor and Lineham will be missed. Naughton will never make a good winger.he is too small and lightweight.Dont think he will stay around too long anyway as his appearances will be limited to other player injuries. Lancaster unknown but again small and lightweight and would be peppered with high kicks from the opposition Michaels probably the best of what we have at this level. Talanoa is OK carries the ball strongly as we know but is no speed merchant and may end up as a centre once again Total imbalance between forwards and backs for next season.
