As fan of over 20 years it pains me to say this, but this is he point our years of decline are in danger of becoming a terminal spiral.

Yet another disappointing home display, the team didn't even turn up for about 20/30mins, gave a distinctly average Catalan a head start, and somehow allowed them to win when they've been hammered every week when visiting the UK.

Same collection of issues that have dogged us for years, no attacking game plan, poor kicking, awful conversion attempts. Failure to turn up for 80mins. No different attacking moves to all the other 'close but got no points' games we've had in the Radford era. I think most fans are realistic and didn't expect a classic today, 7th versus 8th in a dead rubber was never going to be, but we do expect effort for the full game. The young kids did better over the last few weeks than the experienced pro's on display today. Catalan's were also a lot smarter with their play, often playing for penalties and slowing the game down, something we never seem to do.

Crowds and the atmosphere are at their lowest point, Pearson admitted there was only 6,500 in the ground last week and there can't have been any more than that today despite some free/cheap tickets in the North stand. The fans are voting with their feet, in increasing numbers.

I can only plead with Pearson to admit he made a mistake in hiring Radford, and go out and hire an experienced head coach, which would restore confidence and most fans would renew next year and give the team a chance.

I had already decided not to renew my pass next year based on poor performances over the last year and a half, but today really was the final straw, after yet another week of hype in the media 'going to end with a bang' we went out with a whimper. We have signed some quality players next year but it's backs we need more than forwards. We are also losing Lineham and Paea who are quality players who we will miss.

Some posters on here may be glad to hear that after over 20 years of support and approx 11 years posting on here this will be my last thread. This isn't the club I fell in love with, it's a badly managed sinking ship and I can't see anything changing anytime soon. Over and out!

Bye.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

I'm still hanging on in there if only by a thread.
I didn't renew my pass this season based on the Radford factor but I have for next year due to the quality of signing and to give Pearson my support due to this investment, hopefully not for the last time.
I agree that Radford does need replacing and that would rekindle a lot of enthusiasm and optimism amongst the fans and hopefully increase the pass sales. Rowley at Leigh would be a good punt for me.
But next season if it replicates the last 2 with no change in coach will kill the club off.

And unknownlegend that's his opinion no need to mock it just because it's not yours. There are a lot of fans feeling his pain albeit maybe not to his level.

Give amateur dramatics a try now you've more spare time.

Interesting that a you and a couple of others have decided to mock me, but haven't posted a single thing in the clubs defence. Is that because like the club you're out ideas and have run out of ways to spin our situation in to something good?

Massive overreaction as usual. I honestly don't know why you support Hull or go to games as all you do is moan and find the negatives, have you once posted anything positive this season? I hope if you stop going we don't have to listen to your drivel next year. I think there are plenty of positives going into to next season, but I do agree with bombed out that my season pass purchase is on it's last chance next season.

I'll give you some, young players, signings, pack for next season, away form and some of the rugby we have played in these 8s.

I was actually positive after a fantastic performance at the Magic Weekend, where we actually looked to have developed some attacking flair and I felt we could kick on. Unfortunately since then we've only had the win at Craven Park, and the kids surprising us at Saints & Wigan and its been back to the same old same old.

Personally for me the great work we've done with the young team is about to get undone by the frankly baffling decision to merge the academy. Pearson has put time and money in to sorting the academy out, but is binning off a promising system before its even fully got going.

The signings next year are undoubtedly good, but aren't in the areas I feel we need urgent work in (such as the halves, at hooker and at centre) as for the rugby in the Super8's the young kids put in phenomenal displays at Saints & Wigan but the others have been far from classics.
