Having thought about this for a week after the disappointment of the Fax display, I don't think Leigh as a club wanted to go up this year. It was always a 2 year plan for promotion. They are nowhere near ready as a SL team. Next season is the year they will build a team that is ready for SL. Far better to build it in the Championship than get promotion with a team that isn't ready, get hammered every week and come straight back down. 2016 is the season they will push for promotion.

WYSI,how are you?Nice to hear a bit of Culture and reason for a change, give us yer verdict on yesterday.
It's a pity the club didn't bother telling their fans that they didn't want to get promoted this year. Could have saved everyone a lot of unnecessary expense and wasting hard earned money going to watch numerous games that they obviously "intended" to lose.
Rumours are great aren't they, everyone hears different things, and so I'll add what I have 'heard'. Rangi released by Salford, O'Brien been signed to replace him. Rangi in talks with us (Cas) about coming back. Apparently he wants to come back, DP wants him back, but no deal agreed as yet. I'm hoping its not true as we've been a more settled side without him and we have a good pairing in the halfs with Roberts/Gale. Just what I've heard. Also it sounds like the Brierley to Leeds rumour is gathering pace with him being loaned back to you for next season (a bit like the deal we did with Wire with Daz Clark).

Good reply! About time we had a little light hearted banter on here, all seems to be getting very serious at the moment. I'll keep my ears to the ground this afternoon when I'm up in Cas to see if I can hear anything else!

I'm sure you feel much better about your abject displays in the qualifiers now you have convinced yourself about that.
