Makes it all the more satisfying. He's been saying it's meaningless to get there and not win because they need to in order to move on from 1980. Oh well. Looks like the 35 year commemoration tshirts will be replaced with 36 year commemoration tshirts. Fairburn funbins next. (Chris28 will get this).

I see that the Council (with that blooming 'impartial' Leaders saying beforehand WE will be back next year and WE did really well to get there and that's how we are in East Hull, on Look North) have said there were 2000 there, well I will say this only once, but if you take it from someone who was there on the balcony with the players in 1980 and witnessed a 18,000 crowd and who was up there for all the final returns up until 2005 when there were 16,000 in the square; there were around 700 there today and that in the weather and after their mullering was very commendable but lets get it right!!
