Quote:Another record for Hullfc.>in the late 60s the RL European c up was played for in just 2 consecutive years.Fc won them both.once against Albi and the next year v castres, both played in France. Therefore fc were, and STILL ARE the European champions until if and when they ever play it again
wrong, featherstone hold the record of current European champions beating pia, 48-22 in 2012, previously the title was held by Huddersfield who defeated XIII Catalan 23-22 at Barcelona's olympic stadium

: Ooops!,I stand corrected, its a case of age getting the better of memory. The reason it sticks in my mind is because my wifes brother, the late Mick Scott, was captain of Hull fc at the time. Thanks.

That was the European Club Championship and your wife's brother was the hero of us winning it as in a 6-30pm Monday night kick off against Albi it was Mick who dropped the goal for the scores to be tighed and Hull to win the one off competition. It was the only drop goal in Micks career too. I was 7 and went with my Dad and there were 10,000 there for what was apparently our 5th game in 10 days!

Oh dear, I bet you mention 1966 in every football conversation. Ypu won at the OLD Wembley, you won a paper plate recently and Hudge has slight issues, you even BEGGED us to save your academy. Sad small club with sad set of fans, now clear off to the relegation battle and leave the big clubs to showcase the game.
