Leeds are already significantly weakened with the loss of Aiton for the rest of his Leeds career (on top of long term season ending injuries for Sutcliffe and JJB. After Sneyd's crocodile roll it also looked like we could have lost McGuire).
We certainly couldn't afford to lose another key player without it more than levelling the playing field.
Similarly if Wigan lost MM or Williams (etc?) .......it's all ifs and buts at this stage. Leeds could easily yet repeat the 2005 season
Do you mean the McGuire who played in the next game. Please don't drag us into your bitching fest with Wigan elite.

Yeah, after all it was at least 2 years since you lot broke his leg properly.
"He's the best coach I've had... His mix of man-management and his game plan is second to none. Since Brian Mac has been in charge, we've been in every final so far. I love playing for him. I can't praise him enough, I've so much respect for him and I hope he's here for a very long time." Kevin Sinfield 29/9/12

Stop looking for bites and do something productive with your life.
I've had my fun with you lot, and just like the Sllverback that coaches you, you're far too easy to wind up. Hope you are enjoying our forum, it's fun, educational and stimulating, everything that yours isn't. The fun comes from me by the way, with some education thrown in for good measure. Hope you enjoy the Challenge Cup final.

Im impressed that you can spell education. You sir are Oscar Wilde and I claim my £5!
Wigan may win games with their style of pushing the game to the very edge and bend rules and slow the game down. But is it good for Rugby League. I doubt it, the public want to see fast flowing rugby. To use the football argument Wigan's style is the long ball game of the 80's which put English football in a blind alley

It compares favourably to Leeds all time final record against Wigan, grandad.
23 - 20 - 4
Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

Magic Weekend, shockingly boring running three tries in from their own half
