What happened today against Halifax, back to wanting to score on ever play, one on ones terrible, no support runners. The team as a whole were flat. Chisholme and Blair both went missing at times last kick awful. Widnes up next then our first visit to Wembley cup final in 29 years.

Looked to me like a group of players that didn't want to get injured

It was awful, we will not get passed Widnes, Salford or Wakey playing like that and if we don't improve we will be looking at the final eliminator game.
After 10 mins I thought Chisholm was going to rip them apart, but after 60 mins I had to search to see if he was still on the pitch.
Fax, to give them credit looked far more skilful with ball in hand, they looked like they wanted to win. We got out of jail today.

I think it highlights the difference between s/l and the championship,we were diabolical and still won reasonably easily.Did we manage to complete a set of six and put a decent kick in,if we did i dont remember it. No wonder chester sounded upset in his interview.

That has to be one of the strangest games I have ever seen. I have never seen such a difficult 1 sided game in my life.
IMHO we played well for the first 10 minutes and proved we were to big, strong and fast. After which at 10-0 we entered 'showboat mode', only problem with this is that Halifax are a lot better than that and we didn't show them enough respect (No the irony of that statement isn't lost on me).
IMHO neither side deserved that scoreline today again IMHO.

That is the poorest winning performance I've seen I was even a bit worried after they scored there second try and nearly scored a third Scott murrells kicking game was better than anything we had to offer but a wins a win

Fax put up a stubborn defence, slowed play down as you would expect and it was all lethargic because of it. Main thing is it were a win, don't mind winning ugly, need to go up a notch next week to ease the pressure both on relegation and Wembley. Chisolm needs to rein himself in and play the percentages. Trying to impress too much to often IMO. Good solid performance from Manto, cracking signing and seems to get better as the season progresses.
With our away record and Wembley beckoning I really don't fancy our chances against Widnes, but if we can manage a win I think the pressure is right off us.
Im a bit more optimistic that we can beat Widnes. It will be a tough game with it being on that terrible pitch and with Kevin Brown now back playing but we should have beat them at their ground only for a couple of bad decisions so I expect a close game but a narrow rovers victory.
