Yeah I can see him gone at the end of the season.
They have massively failed to replace Briers. Any combination of young halves they have tired just doesn't cut it, not for a sustained period of matches.
I reckon if Briers had of been playing today (at certain points they might aswell have given him a shirt he was on the pitch that long) Wire would have won. Whether Sandow is the answer we will find out soon enough!

Its so easy to say its all down to Agar, but in Tony Smith they have one of the best coaches in the SL era. His record is excellent before anyone starts having a pop at him. I have seen it time and time again that its down to the Agar factor, but I can't believe Smith would leave it all to him.
The plain facts are that since Briers retired they have lacked a leader on the park. Him retiring has had the same effect as Cooke leaving us all those years ago.
Myler has stagnated (thats being kind) since his early career promise. Without Westwood today they would always struggle.

Credit to Rovers. They are deserving finalists.

Not a good result for us though. Only Leeds now to have the distraction of Wembley, and I think they are good enough to beat us with that.

Wire didn't come out with the required intensity whereas Rovers were well up for it. Well played and a well deserved victory. Leeds will almost certainly have too much for them in the final, but then again people said the same thing about us in 2005 so you never know.

Lets hope you win the grand final.
