Hull FC could find themselves in hot water this week after Black and Whites fans entered the pitch at the end of the Hull derby on Friday night.
FC defeated rivals Hull KR at the KC Lightstream Stadium to secure their top eight place in the Super League thanks to a 22-12 victory, but post-match scenes turned sour.
Hull players celebrated towards the South Stand before fans of the Airlie Birds jumped over the barricades and onto the pitch, evading stewards on their way to celebrating with the FC players.

where was the trouble? no, the fans shouldn't have entered to playing area, but all, I saw were the fans celebrating with the players. I didn't see any fans provoke or approach any kr players or kr fans. saw one kr fan making his way over to the fc fans and players before walking away. not like we set off flares in the stadium or anything is it

its the potential to encite trouble that will be causing the most concern here, especially given scenes like those which followed the cas v widnes semi final, and of course our own low point 15 years ago. good natured or not its still a problem that isn't there if the fans stay in the stands

Having witnessed some serious hooliganism at football grounds over the years , believe me , I know how quickly these things can escalate. It may seem like innocent fun , but today's celebratory pitch invasion quickly becomes tomorrow's front page pitched battle

But that would only have happened if your guys had taken exception to the FC fans. Fortunately, and to their credit, they didn't and it never looked like turning nasty.

I'm hearing you but the club surely cant get punished for something that might escalate?? It didn't escalate so there is no issue is there?

From what I remember, the stewards hardly reacted and let the situation happen, maybe Rovers need to take a hard look at the mickey poor lazy stewarding...
