I'm not expecting Rovers to get relegated, I think they are the best team in the middle 8s. But say they get to Wembley, and Kelly misses a few games, its entirely possible that they could find themselves facing Leigh in a winner takes all match that in a one off they could lose.
Can the merger possibly go ahead if they are playing in a lower division? I don't see how it can.

Merger is done, people in place, finishing touches being added.
Facebook is generally where I see comments from people who have not managed to work out how to find a message forum such as this one and therefore the content reflects that.
I actually saw one of the leaders of a Facebook Hull/Rovers Rugby group post an inspiring topic yesterday in which he/she spelt the word caused 'corsed' when investigating the cost of the damage done by Hull Fans.
That one post probably sums up the standard of debate on facebook.

Why not?
This is a separate entity, nothing to do with where either club plays. It is being funded by both clubs and if Rovers were relegated the last thing they would do is scrap their academy and give up any hope of playing SL again.
Even if Rovers did go down they would be odds on favourites to bounce back with that squad. Youth development is a long term project.

Would they have the majority of that squad though?
