Great game tonight and thoroughly deserved. For me Abdull was MOM, for his age and experience, and to be put into the melting pot of an away Derby when Pryce got injured, thought he was outstanding. Thought Watts was immense, just gets better and better and without doubt deserves an international recognition. Anyway a big well done to the coach and team, some of them played big minutes, and after losing two players, the fitness and commitment was outstanding.
The best team on the night won and i have no complaints about the result, hope ellis's injury isn't a career ender,if its a snapped achilles it may well be,terrific player who makes all the difference to your side. Apart from the result the downside was mrs barista running on to the pitch when you scored your 1st try in the 2nd half, that green dress did you no favours and now i know what a fuller figure is.Hope our stewards treated you properly as they escorted you from the ground.
Another bottleless performance in a big game from Rovers, seems to be the trend under Chester. No complaints on result, you lot definitely deserved that. Fitter, faster, stronger. We need a whole new pack in this off season Id normaly be p15sed off about a few of the favourable calls that went your way but it ended up being the right result anyways. Larroyers been absolute garbage all season and it gets shown how awful he is when he plays opposite a player like mini (Id definitely take him off your hands). But I'm praying he does get a ban so he isn't in that 17 next week or in the semis! Think comparing Sneyd and Kelly is wrong. Yes they're both 7 but I think Sneyd vs Campo and Pryce vs Kelly is more suitable in the way both pairs play. Sneyd and campo the brains of the teams, organisers etc, kelly and pryce the players to take on the line, throw a dummy and create some magic. Obviously with my red and white tinted glasses on, from what I've seen, I'd say we've got the superior halves out of the comparisons. To the few idiots (there was a fair few) who ran on the pitch from both North and South could have spoiled your night, especially if the east stand followed suit we could have had 2007 part 2 and things could have got ugly. Fair play to Rovers fans must say for staying off. Definitely deserve to be in the 8 over us, our away form has just not been acceptable all year. Dont think we need to worry about relegation, just worry about getting a pack for next year and if we get the right players (big second rower like mini, 2 big props like paea, keep hold of lunt) with a nice season in regards to injuries, there's no doubt in my mind we'll challenge top 6 easily next year, possibly give the top 4 a scare. But I'm under no illusions as to how hard it is to even find those players never mind sign them. Think you'd struggle to find a person who hates Hull more than me so saying this is hard but good look in the 8s think the systems a bit too messed up for you to realistically get in that 4 but you're safe for another year and it's one less challenge cup game next year. Sure we'll see you lot next year.

You posted this last night. Quite why it needed two posts I don't know. What are you on about?

Ps - think you've got a good local half in Abdul also but Id be tempted to put him at 13, has the size to go there and if he turns that blubber into muscle, he'll be a big threat on the pitch.

The fat lady who ran on the the pitch from the fc crowd in the north stand in the green dress after you scored in the 2nd half and was escorted away by the stewards, maybe it wasn't visible on telly.
A few interesting stats from the game. The most pleasing one given some of our recent performances was errors. We made 6 handling errors in the match, but one of them was on a free play when Logan dropped it over the line, and another was Talanoa early on when he got his fingertips to that kick but couldn't reel it in. So that's actually only 4 times we coughed possession up in 80 minutes of rugby, which is outstanding. By comparison Rovers made 13 (again a couple were knocked down passes when we were attacking).
The other is missed tackles. It was a fairly frantic game at times and both sides slipped off a lot of tackles. We missed 37, which sounds really high. Dixon and Kelly were responsible for 19 of those, with 12 and 7 tackle busts. But Rovers missed 74, and the only man on our team who didn't break a tackle was Leon Pryce.
In the individual stats there were a few good performances but since there was a bit of discussion about Rankin v Shaul earlier I thought I would single him out. Rankin had one try assist, five tackle busts, ran 22 times for 174 metres and was error, penalty and missed tackle free. That's pretty outstanding really.

Interesting stuff. You'd be disappointed as a Rovers fan with74 missed tackles at home against a pretty average attacking team missing 2 interchanges. On Rankin I think he doesn't get the credit he deserves as a player because it's easy to pigeonhole him as a fans favourite who survives in the team on the basis of enthusiasm. Way off the mark - skilful and pacy - we'll really miss him.
