Have you ever considered the Academy is purely a business arrangement that will benefit both clubs and the hatred and rivalry at the top end will continue regardless?
Ffs, this is what the fans were worried would stop by 'getting into bed with each other' and now you moan that Hudgell is nailing his colours to the mast.
Hull and Rovers dislike each other, as a club, the fans, even the players to a lesser degree. The Academy is a business venture that will benefit both teams and amateur game of Hull as a whole.
It's happening, you need to get used to it and not lose sight of what is happening on the pitch at first team level.
It makes me laugh, the amount of opposition to this would suggest each Academy side has around 3000 fans per game!!
I am sure the Hull fans will be very pleased when they find out what is happening with the Academy staff wise, team wise etc but for now I would worry less about what Neil Hudgell is saying and more about if and when Hull get into the top 8 and try and enjoy the end to the season.

Nice & patronising post. Cheers for that.
Fans are understandably questioning the decision to go into a 'business venture' with a man who is morally bankrupt and hates our club with a passion. He sees this as a way to latch onto our resources, drag us down a bit and drag Rovers up a bit.
If you're privy to the workings of the academy other than what has been publicised, as you are trying to make out, spill the beans.

The man is despicable, he simply cannot contain his hatred for everything black and white, even when he stands to gain on gigantic level by the academy merger.
Would love AP to come out in response to that and pull the plug on him.
As for saying the top isn't all that, what a crock of ****, easy to say that when that goal appears to be almost unachievable?
I hope we smash them tonight and condemn him and his club to the bottom 4 misery he claims they are better off with.

Although I wouldnt p*** on him if he was on fire he does have a valid point that the 8th place team will be playing meaningless games for the best part of a quarter of a season.
He says that the 60-0 defeat at Wigan is the game that will probably cost them.I think hes forgot about the 52 point swing at Newcastle.

I'm not sure. 4th to 8th (as it stands) is only 4 points and is at least achievable to claw back over 7 games.

The merger is APs doing, so he won't pull the plug no matter what that toilet says about us in the press, he is only saying it as he knows they will struggle to make the top 8, so he can try & get the fans in to rally around their best squad in SL to date play off in the middle 8. Fools spent to the cap as well.

If that's the case, let's rest all of our big guns tonight and against Wigan so we can have them back to batter Sheffield in the middle 8's? Will be a right laugh....

Perhaps if Pearson had consulted with the supporters prior to his 'brainwave' ie suggest a price increase in season passes to pay for improved coaching facilities etc.. or not renewing contracts for a few players, and promoting youth in their positions, just maybe- we wouldnt have this controversy.

I don't agree with it but it's his club, & I only see him trying to bring the best on through the system proposed. Time will tell as new ideas work on paper or theoretically but we will see.
