Shaul is an off the cuff player, but it could be argued that he is a luxury player and as a side only just in 8th position we are not in a place to have luxury players. If we are in the top 4 with some distance to 5th place Shaul all day long.
Rankin, as pointed makes the team look better.
A
Rankins a better full back than Shaul at the minute, thought he was top class last week, loved his assist for the second lineham try, brilliant

What to say if Shaul gets a better offer elsewhere he would not do one?

It's a strange one as he only signed a new 4 year deal a year ago, has publicly praised Radford in the past.
I hope it gets sorted as I really feel he could be our long term FB, Rankin (Who granted played well last week) will be here for a year maximum and is not a long term player for the club.
I think people really like Rankin and sometime gloss over his performances and forget the mistakes (Leeds, Cas and Wakey home) that costs us trys.
He deserves to keep his place at the moment, but Shaul is our long term FB.

Agreed, Rankin is a favourite due to his enthusiasm and trying to whip up the crowd, definitely 1st choice at present but hope Shaul is back in the fold for the long haul
We could do with getting somebody like Brett Hodgson in to coach Shaul & all our backs really how to link play better. One of the few areas Shaul is lacking ATM.

Strange reading that, as a Rovers fan we could replace the word Rankin with Cockayne and Shaul with Dixon and it would still read true.
Not having seen that much of you this year except tv and derby's I'd much rather see Rankin named instead of Shaul. Shaul has that elusive quality that can get a try from anywhere. Rankin just seems steady.
The thing is if Shaul has been dropped for attitude then Radford can't be criticised, that cannot be tolerated especially from a younger member of the squad.

Agree with last point. For elusive play take a look at what Rankin did for Lineham's second try against Cas last week. Tough to say Rankin isn't elusive after that. Rankin's main faux pas has been under the high ball - having said that Shaul isn't exactly Gary Kemble in that area either. Rankin is the marginally better player from what us as fans can see on game day - if there's an attitude issue with Shaul then Rankin is on a different planet.

Radford is not only criticised but accused of bullying by some.

think all this bullying talk is just that,in any given job you always have loud people and quiet people,if telling people to get there finger out is bullying well say no more
