As per usual no mention of the under 19’s game on the clubs website or social media.
Wigan today is probably the most important game of the season so far and as a club we can not even be arsed to mention the young lads. Advertisement and marketing for the 19’s & 16’s games has been awful the past couple of years.
If cost saving is the main reason for the academy merger then why has not better game advertisement, marketing and game day management been used. 500+ attendances on a Saturday afternoon at a venue in Hull, not out at Bishop Burton should be easily achieved. With this level of footfall then with gate money, refreshments, merchandise sales, game sponsorship, match ball sponsorship, and a raffle etc a substantial lump could be raised at each home game that would go to off-setting the academy running costs.
Potentially academy and scholarship games could be huge money makers for the club. if someone at the club could just be bothered with the academy.

He was very, very good mate. Also mightily impressed with Shorrocks (played 6) and whilst he dropped a couple, the FB (Gabriel Fell) was very good on kick returns, very pacey.
