The HDM piece is just the start of the annual propaganda campaign to persuade people to renew their passes. "Look how everything's been improved" "I've spent an extra £500,000 a year" yadda yadda.
He said last year that 2015 would be our year and he wouldn't be talking things up if we weren't challenging up the table. So the answer is to tell us how great the new academy set up will be. And he's "surprised" by the reaction? What did he expect?
If he's right it will take years for any benefits of going back to grass roots to come through. How much patience are we expected to have?

still don't see the benefits (for us) of this apart from saving money. tell me we will have better players etc all you want, but its naff all to do with that.

The major problem really is obvious. He's either stubbornly refusing to admit it, or simply delusional if he can't see it. What makes it even more obvious is that for a period it did start to improve (still plenty left, though) and he undid it.

Personally I don't think the academy merger will effect us, we will still get 2/3 players each year coming through, hopefully they will be better players as the coaching and preparation will be better.

Neither club needs to merge anything - they need to spend more on coaching then produce quality local talent. All thats now gonna happen is were gonna produce the same average quality players but then were gonna have to devided them between two clubs!!! Problem is Pearsons skint and Grudge is loving the fact that he can get to use FC academy setup at Brantingham on the cheap. Pearson really is a clueless dick who needs to sell up
So Pearson is a clueless dick yet you have no idea where the Academy even train?

I'm coming to the game on Sunday. Are you doing anything like a petition and/or a demonstration about the merger of the academies ? I would support this if you were and would imagine so would plenty of other away fans,
