There have been several near-misses in recent games in the Northstand, and IMHO unless the club sort this out, I believe it is only a matter of time before it kicks off again, and we would potentially be looking at another fine from the RFL for failing to control our supporters (regardless of whether we started it or not !!)

I have to agree regarding the level of vocal support in there last night....not heard it that loud for ages (but that might be due to us not having competed for ages !!)

Please I have been going to Belle Vue for far too many years and we have never had segregation and I don't think I have seen any real threat of violence. The question therefore is segregation the problem despite the fact that it does not officially apply. I would be annoyed if someone said you must stand there when in the past I have moved from the north terrace to compost corner.
I would not worry because we may not have a north stand next season to be segregated into.

Most of those grounds have actual separation between the stands though, in that you can't just freely walk/tranfer between stands. At Belle Vue we don't have that so it's down to the stewards to try and enforce it and that's where the problems come from IMO.

WAKEFIELD TRINITY - The PRIDE of Sporting Wakefield

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS

So how hard is it to direct all away fans to the West terrace turnstile and then have stewards at the north end of the Western terrace "encouraging" anyone wanting to "Go North" to remain where they are ???
We've done it before, so why don't we do it for every game ??

M.I.B. ??....nope - M.I.R.W.B !!!

Because many people don't want to stand behind the sticks. They prefer to watch rugby league from a decent vantage point and I would suggest many of the missing numbers are those Western Terrace fans who are saying that if they have to stand behind the posts the experience is so poor they would rather not waste their time and money. Their money - their choice.
