It's what watching repeated disappointments at the club since 2008 does to you, just when I thought we were finally building something over the last few weeks...the bad news starts.

Doom&Gloom Merchant wrote:So your saying Michaels is better, because he's faster?

I don't dislike Michaels, but comparing him as a centre to Yeaman, Yeaman comes out better. Which doesn't say a lot for Michaels.

No, I am not saying Michaels is better due to his speed. I pointed out a plus for both Yeaman and Michaels but also pointed out 2 negatives for Yeaman. For a okayer who havs been living off is 2006 form for countless years I find it odd that some forget several years of ordinariness after a handful of decent performances.

You said Yeaman offers more, but never backed it up.

Taylor's already signed, Pritchard is rumoured to be close. We're 8 from 10, still in the cup, the 19s are going great and we have a back row and scrum half on great form. Of course you can mither about Lineham going and Washbrook replacing Howarth if that's the most important aspect of what the club's doing right now, but personally I think there's more to enjoy than moan about currently. I am pretty sad about Lineham going btw.

Taylor is a downgrade on Paea, and while I'm not overly concerned about losing Lineham as I can see potential in both Lancaster and Naughton we're still losing two of our consistently good performers. I'm also not bothered either way by Washbrook's likely return as a squad player.

Re-signing Yeaman who is getting slower by the year is exactly the kind of stupid signing that holds the club back year after year, you never see clubs like Wigan and Saints keeping players who are past their best out of sentiment, they are thanked for their service and waved on their way.

Pritchard will be a good signing IF it comes off, and of course I am happy that we are playing better and winning games, but we are still 7th, pretty much the same place we were in when Pearson bought the club, and still in need of a big step up to be challenging for trophies again.

Wellens of course is at the height of his powers.

I just don't see the point in investing time supporting a club if you only resent it for not achieving the success of the top 3/4.

Maybe what he resents is that the club has not so far achieved what the fans were told it would? Its as much about the over-promising as the under-performing. If you're used to not achieving much and are never promised anything, like the fans of some mid-table teams, you're rarely disappointed.

Do you really believe that when the chairman of a football club says they're going to be successful, it's going to happen?
They all want success, but only 1 or at most 2 clubs a year will actually win something.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Taylor has been excellent this year, his stats are better than Paeas and is a signing for the long term.

Let's wait and see who we sign before we moan about recruient, I have a really good feeling about our recruitment under Radford and Tony.

We are in a better position now then when Pearson took over, we are better off the field, have an excellent youth system, better training facilities, finally some halfbacks and I feel in a one off game we could beat any team in SL home or away.
